Charity Trekking in Nepal With VEC

VEC has partnered with Alpine Treks & Expedition Services to provide a unique trekking experience. Several itineraries will take trekkers to hidden lakes and spiritual sites, as well as through the villages where VEC operates. There, the trekkers can see first-hand how their choice in trekking with VEC helps local communities. All profits from the trek go directly to supporting our work in Helambu and Baruwa. An itinerary can be found on http://www.nepalcharitytreks.com, but contact Project Manager Beau Miller at vecgangkharka@gmail.com for pricing and dates.

The Thangka Campaign

VEC's Thangka Campaign is a sale of Buddhist spiritual paintings created by Helambu artist Tashi Sherpa. The paintings are authentic, hand-painted meditative tools sold at reasonable prices to further the awareness of the issues of Nepal's rural communities, in addition to giving something back to donors as a way of thanking them for their support. Photos of the paintings are available online at www.thangkacampaign.org, and inquiries about pricing and availability can be emailed to Beau Miller at vecgangkharka@gmail.com.  All profits from the sale of these thangkas go directly to funding our field work.
